We headed to Checheng Fu-an Temple.. Went in to pray and proceed to our next stop @ Fo Kuan Shan Monastery.. There is a wishing pond at the entrance where it was said tt once u throw the coin and hit the bell.. ur wish will come true.. xt and i din try it out.. We climbed many stairs and reached the peak where we saw a large buddha statue, with 500 accompaning Arhats.. We also saw the 大雄宝殿 on our way out.. It resembles the palace (huang gong).. The stairs down were lined with meaningful sayings.. here is one of them: 老人, 不是年龄, 而是心境... 人生, 不是岁月, 而是永恒. Upon leaving.. there was another meaningful sayings.. 回头是岸!!
In the afternoon, we went to Meinong folk village where many hand-made items, traditional arts and culture could be seen.. I saw a 天下第一剑 over there.. xt bought a flute and a whistle over there. Out of desperate, I bought a pack of sweet potato chips (looked like corn flakes) which is one of Meinong zheng's 特产.. (coz its day 5 liao.. and i haven buy anything for my family, relatives and friends yet...).. We had a bowl of kway teow (which is their specialty), white skin chicken (again) and a veg for lunch.. The kway teow was very oily to me.. I dun really noe how to appreciate it.. haha.. this meal was qt horrendous i would say.. i suppose xt think so too.. coz we left more than 3/4 bowl untouched.. Thank god we had a nice breakfast in the morning..

After lunch, we had to go to the Pearl center.. another place that we dreaded.. They displayed similar "tricks" again!!! worst of all, when the salesgal told me to get a pearl necklace for my mum... I told her my mum dun like pearl de (coz my mum prefers diamond.. wahaha).. she said this... u nv buy for her.. how u noe she dun like??? Hello... she is my mum.. i am her daughter.. obviously i noe her likes and dislikes lah... I noe u wanna get sales.. but cant u think of better excuses to persuade pple to buy???? As usual, this stop made me n xt pissed.. luckily, I noe how to reject them firmly and quickly leave (after gaining the experience at the lingzhi center)..
Enough of tt... our next stop is Kaohsiung Dream Mall, which is the largest shopping mall in tw.. It has a shape of a whale but i think it resembles sg's downtown east or vivo... We had an hr and a half to shop around.. the stuff here is almost the same px as sg and nothing catches our eyes.. There is this hello kitty 摩天轮 at the highest storey.. but we gave it a miss though its qt cheap as compared to our Singapore flyer..
In the late afternoon, we went to Xizi wan.. Do the picture first 2 pics below look like Singapore river?? haha.. we were supposed to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sunset in XIzi wan.. As we missed the sunset at guan shan yest, we decided to wait awhile for the sun to set.. After waiting for an hr... mr sunshine played hide and seek wif us... the dark clouds came... mr sun went into hiding.. there goes our sunset...
At night we went to Leo Ho nite mkt aka Liu he nite mkt (六合夜市) at Kaohsiung.. This 夜市 was kinda dissapointing as we expected it to be real big where we could really 大开杀戒 (after 5 days empty handed..).. there was only one street selling mostly food.. Having a short one and a half hr, plus it was drizzling... and we were hungry le (coz we ate little for lunch).. we decided to catch a bite first.. we had chicken cutlet with mayo and sweet n sour sauce.. Its delicious.. xt and I shared a cold peanut bean curd (hua sheng tou hua), smelly toufu and a icy cold yam ball soup.. Everything was yummy... the smelly toufu was okie.. (no smell i would say..) the yam ball soup in Chiufen seems nicer then the one we tried.. I wanted to try the fried ice cream but i was really full.. We had not much time left for shopping.. i saw a nice hp pouch and it costs S$15.. a hair band which costs S$10 plus.. damn ex lor.. haha.. We den headed for our hotel-- 4*Citizen hotel.. and to play safe.. we knocked b4 entering into our rooms and i kept my fu within my sight.. haha..
