Day 1 -- 07/06/08
I went on this trip with xiu ting... Initially, our original plan was to go to hk n shen zhen. We changed our plans and decided on this trip to tw n hk. Well, this trip was rather 惊心动魄 i would say... haha... thats why i decided to pen it down... (xt.. here goes our 12 episodes.. wahaha)
Reached Changi airport T1 at 14.05.. was gonna take cathay pacific, transit at hk to depart for tw. Just as we were about to check in.. we saw the LCD screen stating-- flight delay due to inbound svs!!! Our flight was supposed to depart at 16.05, it was delayed till 18.30. As this will clashed with our next flight (from hk to tw) which was supposed to be at 21.30, we had to take another plane at 2235 to tw. ok nvm, after checking in and all, we (xt n her parents, me n my family) went off separately for lunch. We planned to meet at 1715 at the dept gate. Coincidentally, we met at popeyes.. haha.. After lunch, I still had 1 hr plus to go.. decided to go home for awhile since my hse is super near airport. haha. xt n her family explored T3. Reached T1 at 1715, to my horror!!! the flight was delayed AGAIN!! sway lor. haha. Luckily the airport staff signed us up for another plane which will be flying off at 1800 and the boarding gate was about to close soon. we bid goodbye and dash to the boarding. One good thing, this made me partially forget my air sickness!! haha. Guess wat time we reached hk airport? 1025!!! omg... our connecting flight was supposed to depart at 2230! Dunno if this is considered lucky or not? our connecting flight was delayed till 2315. Finally, we arrived at tw taoyuan airport at 2am. (when we are supposed to reach at 2300). ARGH.. see 惊心动魄 rite? Received jh and mummy's sms saying that hk had storm n flood, tts why there was a delay.. gosh!!! (xt's dad oso gave her the "追魂" call upon landing. wahaha) Met our tour guide and according to him, our luggage was too huge, so he called for another car to drive us to the hotel.
Reached Taoyuan holiday hotel at around 02.30am. The hotel room was great. So spacious. There were 2 queen size beds, one cosy tv corner with a couch and sofa and a nice toilet. wahaha. Too bad we were too tired to take a pic of that hotel though we like it so much.
After packing our stuff, it was 03.30. Within spilt second, sleeping beauty slept le. I was tossing and turning, juz cant get to sleep.. haha.. somehow, i din really sleep and my alarm clock rang..
