Day 7 -- 13/06/08

The breakfast in xiaoyue resort was .... 2 words... er xin... cannot make it sia!!! We ate a little and cant wait to leave this place.. The place was so empty, dark and eerie (tts why we freak out).. The car journey was long.. we gonna head to taipei le!!! yeah... along the way, there wasnt any reception yet.. and if xt's dream come true.. i will laugh man.. haha.. After an hr or so.. all my sms came in.. haha... one from mum, dad and jh... and one from xiao gu.. After 4 hrs.. we reached taipei.. We had lunch at Tu cheng (土城).. taipei's suburb area.. We ate another kind of hot pot.. we had fish n pork hot pot, ice cream, crackers for lunch.. so filling..

After lunch, we headed towards the grand hotel (圆山大饭店) in taipei.. it looks like a temple.. our PM Lee actually stayed here b4.. We snapped 2 photos and left coz its raining again.. Our next stop was Martre's Shrine to see the guard changing ceremony.. I din take pics of them coz 1)it was raining and 2) they were seemed as being commodified lor.. so bad.. studied a tourism module last sem.. i decided not to take pics of them.. haha.. (cultural commodification!!)

Next, we went to the pi xiu arts center. We gave our 八字 to the consultants over there.. I represent the elements of fire while xiuting represents the elements of water.. She told me that my name is good.. but luck will only occur in the later yrs.. she said i can only marry after age 28.. and also mention tt I am a kind/ soft hearted person, hard working.. perfectionist.. den she persuaded me to buy either the white or the black pi xiu to block those siao ren.. xt nearly doze off when her consultant was explaining stuff to her.. haha.. so qiao.. xt was persuaded to buy the white or black pi xiu too.. haha.. I nearly got con into buying.. coz they will make it sound real bad if u din buy it..

Den we proceed to taipei 101 world building. There's a lift that can bring us up to the highest pt to view taipei's skyline.. but we gave tt a miss as we wont really interested.. We walked round the shops.. its kinda like our Paragon.. shops were so high end... LV, Gucci, Prada, Guess, Mui Mui etc etc.. we went into the more affordable shops like espirit, hang ten etc.. Their hang ten clothes are nice(unlike sg)!! I bought a vest for daddy while xt bought her dad a shirt.. (like finally ya?).. haha..

Next, the tour guide brought her to a bakery shop to buy tw local delights.. we bought pineapple tarts and jelly.. din buy the muah chee coz those could be found in chinatown..

After checking in the hotel-- Chinatrust hotel, we left after putting our luggages.. The tour guide send us to Shihlin nite mkt and where we bid goodbye.. (this marks the end of our tour package).. We were glad when we reached shihlin ye shi.. no doubt its the largest ye shi in tw.. there were lots of streets, stalls and shops.. We can 大开杀戒 le.. wahaha... We each ate a big chicken cutlet-- the famous hao da da ji pa.. its really super big.. we cant even finish the whole ji pa.. Its really delicious and 名不虚传.. the chicken is juicy, tender and spicy and it costs only 50NT (around S$2.5 onli).. den we started our shopping spree.. We both got many stuff.. ranging from bags to hp pouchs to hair clips.. We din buy any clothes though.. coz its too luan le.. we dunno how to shop for clothes.. haha.. At around 10, it started to drizzle and we headed back to our hotel.. We took the Taipei metro from Jiantan station(where shihlin ye shi is) to beitou station.. cross a road and we reached our hotel.. so convenient.. Xt wasnt asleep at around 1 plus.. (once in a blue moon sia.. haha.. okie lah she is nice enough to keep herself awake to accompany me).. den she was hungry.. we went down to the nearby mac for super but so suay, the mac was closed for cleaning (disinfection).. haha.. den she decided to call the mac delivery svs and guess wat.. the mac she dialed was juz the mac we juz went to.. No choice, she ate the cheese wang wang and the pineapple tarts!! made me went laughing for awhile.. haha.. oh speaking of this.. we gana chop head for the jelly lor.. (tour guides arent trustable.. they do wan to keep their pockets fed..)
