Morning call was very early. After breakfast, we headed towards the impressive Taroko Gorge to view the scenery there. Oh yeah.. my fav.. wahaha.. The gorge was formed by rushing clear river water which cut thru the marble and granite to create a beautiful, narrow ravine with waterfalls among the mountains, surrounded by subtropical forests... We walked the Shakadang trail. I was busy taking photos along the way. wahaha.. We walked thru a tunnel. From there, we could see the swallow grotto ( 燕子口). It was formed due to long term erosion and constant wearing by the river. It gets its name from flocks of swallows flying in this area during spring. As we walked in the dark tunnel, we felt the cool breeze... We took a few pics b4 leaving the tunnel... Indeed the Taroko gorge has one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world... scenery was beautiful.. We passed by Changchun temple and saw a mini waterfall or rather rapids near Changchun temple... We also saw the spring beneath the ethernal spring shrine... After stopping by their "cafe", we proceed to Taroko National Park... As it was Mon, the museum were closed (mon is their off day).. sigh...

After few hrs of walk at Taroko Gorge, we went to the local Lingzhi center (which is a muz!! ugh)... As our tour group has onli the 2 of us, and there wasnt a single soul at the Lingzhi center except us... we became their targets obviously... They explained the uses of Lingzhi, the benefits of it... introduce us the deer baby pouch or sth(which is good for asthma) blah blah blah.. which is the nth time i heard about it liao lor... den here comes the irritating and dreadful part.. Knowing that we are students, they still demand us to buy their stuff (like its a muz buy thing).. When we rejected them, they cut either the px or ask us to take like 100g back.. wat the heck lor.. I told them i wont buy coz i still haf lingzhi at home.. guess wat i was told? "why din u tell me earlier? den i wont waste time talking to u.." Excuse me, I din volunteer to come to ur place lor.. pls be mindful of tt. When xt haven say she wan.. they quickly get a bag out and wanna help her pack liao.. wa lao.. so pissed lor... When we left (empty handed of coz), she said sth like i need to drink 3 bottles of water... Pls lor.. We are nice enough to listen to all ur shit coz we din haf a choice.. we dun wan to go to tt place de lor... so annoying.. suddenly i thot i went holidaying in china not tw.. (tw is supposed to be part of china.. no wonder they have the same bad culture!!!) atrocious man... thats e super minus point for having onli 2 pple in a tour!!! After that, we had herb lunch.. its quite bad i think... we had like 5 dishes... 2 wild veg, one sweet n sour pork ribs, deer meat and a lingzhi soup.. this is call herb lunch meh??? sigh.. so dissapointing.. I thot it will be like the herb lunch i had in chengdu last yr.. Maybe coz our blood are still boiling.. and it somehow affected our appetite.. We had baby tomatoes for dessert..
The next stop was Chulu Pasture.. This place is really beautiful... Excellent.. the greenery reminds of xian nv yu pian zi de farm.. wahaha... Cows and horses could be seen around.. We took a horse ride for 2 rounds. It cost 100 NT for 2 small rounds (~ S$4.6) but it was a great experience... As the horse is big.. i was qt scare for the first round... wahaha.. but it was fine for the second round... qt fun... if only i could gallop on the horse around ther green pasture and yell Yuuuu... when i wan it to stop... wahaha... watch too many drama liao.. haha...
After which, we proceed to our hotel-- Master bear resort.. We reached there around 5pm which is very early lor.. haha... This hotel is great.. kinda like NSRCC's chalet but this master bear resort is way better as it was surrounded by mountains.. There were 3 rooms in a block.. we chose the room in the upper floor... As it was early, after a short rest, we went out for a walk around the resort... We tried the sleeping net.. actually xt tried first and she couldnt get up... after tt, it was my turn.. so paiseh lor.. coz we had a hard time getting out of the net.. wahaha... den we chance upon a caravan.. it was oso a room leh.. there is a bed n a toilet in it... and it costs onli 300 NT (~s$14).. super cheap lor.. sg de chalets are really damn ex... we also took photos at the pavalion.. Den it was dinner time, we had fish, deer meat again, white skin chicken, veg, lingzhi soup again and fried tapioca chips. The fish and the fried tapioca chips were yummy.. we had a plate of orange... doesnt look juicy and sweet to me.. Yet I had the honor to finish it all (though i din), coz xt n the tour guide dun like to eat orange de..

After dinner, we went back to our rooms.. watched abit of tv.. (watch huan zhu ge ge from dong shen channel) den we went out to write our wishes on our heavenly lantern. We had to write sth on all the 4 sides.. we wrote on 2 sides each.. It was a myth in the ancient that ur wish will come thru if u write them down on the tian deng and release it into the sky... This was a good experience for me.. though everything had to be done so quickly...

Our tian deng was released into the skies... it flew up so quickly... and I pray for my wishes to come thru..... not forgetting xt's wishes too... After a few games... and of coz the 2 anti social pple din participate... haha.. no lah.. we are juz shy pple ok!!! we went back for a rest... to continue my hzgg show at 10pm... Though we exercise alot today, i still slept later than xt... again... wahaha
