Day 6 -- 12/06/08

While we wait for the lift, we saw 2 Jap who are very polite.. They greeted us good morning in various languages.. jap, eng n mandarin.. haha.. our breakfast at 4* citizen was fine.. we had international buffet.. oh btw.. we had eggs everyday!!! (xt's fav... inferior goods hor??? haha.. and if she sees this.. she's gonna scold me le.. haha)

After around 3hrs of bus ride along the winding roads, we finally reached the base of Alishan. We saw the 地久 bridge.. There were supposed to be 2 bridges, namely天长 and 地久.. 天长 bridge was destroyed by earthquake.. onli 地久 bridge was left behind.. Beside the bridge, there was a temple with 2 huge pi xiu guarding it...

It took around an hr for us to reach the peak of Mount Ali National Park.. There was a drastic change in temp (as compared to the shan jiao). It was 15 degrees.. woah.. very cooling.. my fav.. haha.. We embarked on our Alishan nature trail.. (brown and green line from the map..) Along the way, we saw the railway track, came across a sample train and took photos of it.. passed by Alishan hotel.. After about an hr, we gonna walk thru tr forest bath health trail.. Along this trail, the air was refreshing (the air smell fresh and nice)... Planted woods of Red Cypress, Tw Cypress and cedar can be seen everywhere.. We came across the sister ponds, 3 brothers (3 up straight cypress trees growing side by side on top of some remaining stumps of old forest), 4 sisters (4 rather closely gathered trees), happiness from golden pig, forever one heart (2 old cypress trees haf grown into a wonderful big heart shaped by the joints of their roots)... den it started pouring.. we run to the shelter.. stayed there for about 15 mins but the rain dun seem as if it will stop soon.. We bought disposable raincoats and continued our journey... saw the 3 generation trees, elephant trunk tree... After walking for like 2 hrs plus... we were tired.. haha.. did lots of excerising liao.. me n xt had to 雨中漫步.. her hands were cold (freezing)... Finally after a total of 3 hrs plus walk.. we reached the exit.. Had lunch at Alishan's restaurant.. we were told by the tour guide that the food here wont be nice.. However, we think that meal ws the nicest of all.. wahaha.. we finished everything except the soup.. (first time.. haha)

On our way down the winding roads of Alishan, beautiful scenery of Yushan National park could be seen.. I went down to take a few photos and enjoy the fresh air and cooling weather while xt and the tour guide hide inside the car for warmth.. haha..

We continue to Nantou to visit the biggest freshwater lake in tw, Sun Moon Lake (日月潭).. The southern part resembles the shape of a new moon and the northern part is shaped like a sun, hence the name Sun Moon lake..





Outside Wen wu temple, there's a flight of stairs with bdae dates on each step (descending order starting from 31st Dec).. We decided to find our bdae dates.. xt n i took a pic of the steps indicating our bdae dates.. xt took a weird photo of me.. which made me seem as if i am on the verge of toppling down.. wat a weird angle but according to her.. its artistic.. I took a straight photo of her which she claimed too boring.. haha.. leave ur comments.. which pics look normal??

We were trapped in wen wu temple as it poured heavily!!!

W had 三妈臭臭锅 for dinner -- seafood de.. the portion was so big.. there were many 料 inside the hot pot.. veg, crab meat, prawn, fish cake, pig liver, egg, sotong etc..

After dinner, we headed to our hotel-- xiao yue resort.. It is situated in some mountainous region, with no reception at all.. The whole hotel warmly invites four seasons travel to haf a nite stay here.. (they forgot to mention this--- 2 pple plus a tour guide = a total of 3 pple in the 山庄).. thats so scary can.. its so deserted.. w/o a single soul.. so dark (even the corridor lights wont switch on!!)... freaking eerie.. once we settled down, we were given the feedback form coz tmr is our last day (for the tour package)... Needless to say, we had complains coz he is suay enough to hand us the feedback form when we stay in such horrifying hotel (worst of all)!!! we dare not even close our curtains.. we had the lights on throughout the nite and my fu wif me whenever I go (around the hotel room).. tts how scary the hotel was.. in the morning, the sun shone right into our room.. we dun even dare to wake up to close the curtains (not lazy ya).. tts wat we did--> turn over to the other side (back facing the sun) and attempted to continue our beauty sleep.. haha
